The 10,000 square foot Avantec facility is located in the City of Orange, in Orange County, California. Our free pick-up and delivery service allows us to rapidly serve all of our Southern California customers, from San Diego to Santa Barbara.
For our customers beyond these limits we use the preferred carrier choice of each individual customer.
ESD Control Program
Avantec implements the S20.20 Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Control Program at all of its facilities to protect electrical or electronic parts, assemblies and equipment susceptible to ESD damage from Human Body Model (HBM) discharges greater than or equal to 100 volts.
S20.20
Until recently the military has been the driving force behind the development of ESD standards in the United States. MIL-STD-1686 was the ESD Program Standard for the Department of Defense until 1992 when, as part of the Military Standardization Reform Act, it was targeted for replacement with a commercial standard.
The U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Air Force and many commercial organizations have adopted this standard while the U.S. government accepts both S20.20 and MIL-STD-1686.
